John Hager, Decd.
Last Will and Testament.
In the Name of God Amen.
Know all men by these presents, that I John Hager of the 35th ward of the
City of Pittsburgh County of Allegheny, State of Pennsylvania being sick
and weak in body, but of sound mind memory and understanding, and considering
the uncertainty of the time & hereof, and to the end I may be better
prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence,
do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following.
Firstly I order that all my just debts funeral expenses
and charges of proving this my last will be in the first place fully paid
and satisfied, and after payment thereof and any part thereof.
Secondly I give and bequeath to my son Charles Hager the
sum of $1.00 one dollar, because, he has already and before my decease received
the sum of $700.00 dollars,Seven hundred dollars, and he must therefore be
satisfied with what he has already received.
Thirdly I give and bequeath to my daughters Elizabeth
Lierzapf, Katherine Brickman and Mary Miller of all property either real
and personal of which I shall be possessed of at the time of my decease,
quantity to be divided amongst them share and share alike.
Fourthly. And I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint
my son-and-law Henry Miller of the City and County aforesaid my executor
of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former
and other wills by me at any time here before made and declare this only
to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said testator
John Hager have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the
23rd day of May AD 1888.

John Hager as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who
in his presence and at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses
thereto.

Note:
It appears that Charles Hager purchased John Hagers house from his sisters,
because he lived in it all of his life.
